I say get the Playstation 3 for now, there are some good games, and there will be many more games coming out.
Kingdom Hearts 3, just for your information, has not been announced yet. Kingdom Hearts 3 will return to Sora, Riku, and Kairi's adventure after getting back to Destiny Islands and will start off where the KH2 ending left off. There is no information other than that regarding Kingdom Hearts 3. However, there are 3 new Kingdom Hearts games that are coming out for the PSP, Nintendo DS, and the Cell Phone (mobile). Kingdom Hearts 3 is estimated to come out in 2010 or so but this is a complete rumor, not to be trusted.
1. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep will be for the PSP and will deal with the characters from the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+. There names are Terra (older knight, looks more experienced in battle, and eyes glow at the ending of the secret ending), Aqua (blue haired girl), Ven(tus) (Roxas look alike), Master Xehanort (old man in the secret ending) and the heartless creature that Xehanort summoned. I believe all of these characters will play major roles and from what I have heard (still need to clarify) you will get to play as Terra and Ven although I haven't heard anything about Aqua. I hope Aqua is included as a major character in this game as well.
2. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 will be for the Nintendo DS and will deal with Roxas's story of the year that he was alive for. This will include his birth into the real Twilight Town, him being taken into the Organization by Xemnas, making friends with Axel, visiting tons of worlds, deciding to leave the Organization, him being captured by Riku, and his imprisonment in the virtual Twilight Town created by DIZ.
In this game, there will also be a fourteenth member of the Organization being introduced. The member is a female and could either be Aqua or her nobody, or it could be Namine or someone completely new but I doubt it is Namine or someone completely new. I believe the member is Aqua because Xemnas had Aqua's armor in his Room Of Sleep and called it "friend" during a Final Mix+ cutscene.
The 358 days probably means the number of days that Roxas lived without knowing of Sora. As you may know, Sora was kept asleep for a year, and within the final week Roxas began to get Sora's memories in him. The divided by 2 may mean that Roxas and Sora are coming together to form as one.
3. Kingdom Hearts Coded will be on the Cell Phone and will deal with King Mickey discovering a message after KH2 in Jiminy's Journal. This will prompt him to enter the digital worlds and for him to create a digital Sora. You will play as Sora going through the worlds to discover what the message means.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ came out in Japan at the end of March of this year. There is still no official word on whether the game will come out internationally or just in Japan. I really hope it comes out in the USA because I have an interest in playing the game on its new critical mode.

Weezy S. Baby couldn't have said it better...I've been a sony guy since the beginning and eventually by the end of 08 no system has a chance of competing with the PS3!
Although they are both good systems I spent my money on
the PS3 because I am a sony guy at heart, and online is free for life......People mention the price, not many people online and not many games for the PS3(I do recall the XBOX 360 having a little over 1 year's head start).
Let's say you buy the Xbox 360 with the 20gb hard drive at 349.99 then you have 6 years of xbox live at $50 bucks a year? You do the math...and thats not including games, and extra controllers so please people leave price out of this or else 360 takes the cake!
BOTTOM LINE ITS ALL IF YOU LIKE 1st PERSON SHOOTER AND ALIEN INVADER CRAP(lol) OR THE REAL S@#T, GET A PS3 AND BY END 2008 YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
P.S. How much will one spend on AA batteries in 6 years
for an xbox controller compared to the rechargeable wirle-less dual shock for the ps3 that sony replaces absolutely free
whenever it totally runs out of juice....depending on how hard you go on the sticks 4to6 years maybe!!

There are alot more video games for the PS3 than the Xbox 360. The multiplayer on playstation network is free. The multiplayer on xbox live costs money.

I would go with the xbox 360 due to many reasons. One of them is the massive online amount of players plus they have rpg games on the xbox like oblivion or enchanted arms and games. They also have excellant customer service when you need it. I have had both ps3 and xbox 360 but i prefer my xbox a lot better.

i regret nothing
i dont care either of those games u mensioned and besides those there is not to many good games that are ps3 exclusive
plus xbox live is beter than playstation network from what i heard Home isnt very good lots of bugs and not alot of features but u dont know if theres enough good games for 360 so heres a list
bioshock
assasins creed
call of duty 4
halo 3
mass effect
skate.
gta 4 with the exclusive downloadable content when it comes out
guitar hero 3
rock band
and lots more
p.s. smily doesnt know what hes talking about graphics except for 1080i hd is better hands down 360
and every game that is on both systems that was delayed is because its alot harder to make ps3 games than 360 so they dont have as many games

Xbox 360 has only First Person Shooters.. THAT'S ALL THEIR GOOD FOR.
I like the Ps3 for a couple of reasons:
Sony actually listens to their consumers..When the Ps3 came out we grumbled it had no Rumble. Now in spring 2008 DUALSHOCK 3, is coming with Rumble and Sixaxis.
Does Microsoft listen to customers? No... Since their Xbox 360 failures 5% of the time (1 out of 20) all they did was extend the warranty to three years...WOW...
Everyone I know is on their second Xbox 360 cause the first one broke.
Xbox 360 hardware woes
Microsoft really hit it out of the park when it came to the Xbox 360's software—consider the slick Dashboard, the persistent Achievements and Gamertags, and the top-notch Xbox Video Marketplace. But the actuall 360 hardware is a disaster: chronically glitchy, prone to overheating, and all too susceptible to the "Red Ring of Death," which signals a critical hardware failure. Indeed, I'm already on my second Xbox 360 in barely a year, and just about every 360 owner I know has had to send their console back to Redmond for repair. In June, Microsoft finally did the right thing and owned up to the shoddy state of its hardware, extending the Xbox 360's warranty to a full three years and taking a $1 billion charge in the process.
Thats hilarious now lets get down to the comparison.
People don't understand..prices JUST THINK
I'm going buy their highest price models..
Playstation 3 is $599 for an 80gig...OK EXPENSIVE WE KNOW
Xbox 360 is $449 for a Elite...
By the year 2009, excluding games, and including Internet fees you would have paid..$600 dollars for your Xbox 360 to use all it features...
To me it's the same price, you can see it anyway you want but it is.
Ah there is a lot of good and bad between both of them. If you are a movie lover and do not want to dish out $200-400 on a HD DVD Player which you will probably need by 2009, then Ps3 is the way to go because the DVD player that's built in it is incredible and next gen. If games are what you want and you want to play online constantly and compete with others all over the world, I would say the Ps3 because it's 100% free online and Xbox 360 is $50 a year for online so you're pretty much paying the difference between the price in about 3 years.
All right lets get down to opinions. When it comes down to technology, I leave it the Asians and not Americans. Windows Vista is a disaster and proves Microsoft makes a lot of mistakes.
Both consoles are buggy because they were rush to the shelves but Xbox 360 failure rate is higher than Ps3. Xbox 360 currently has this thing called 'red ring of death' which means your gaming system is finished unless you send it to Microsoft and they fix it.
If you send it to Microsoft, you have to wait about a month and half to get it back and it could get stolen in the mail. A lot of people aren't trusthworthy.
One good thing I can say about Microsoft is that they are very good at persuading. They pay companies a lot of money to keep games exclusive to their system, games like Gears of War, Bioshock, and Halo. These games make people buy their system but in the long run Sony has good credibility.
Xbox 360 is up in sales but Sony has always been reliable in the years to come. The games and equipment they will dish out in unmatched and Xbox 360 cannot compete.
I can name great upcoming games exclusive for the Ps3 and I can name great games exclusive for the Xbox.
Is the Ps3 worth the money...YES..it is it's worth every penny and its now $400 dollars for a 40 gigabyte version, better than it was a year ago. Although Xbox 360 is cheap in 3 years you will pay more than you did for the Ps3 minus the games.
The new 40gig version is less buggy than the 360 and probably won't have any problems.
When Playstation 2 came out I remember sitting around months on end waiting for a good games then Sony came rushing to shelves with great stuff.
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
God of War
Gradius
Manhunt
Devil May Cry series
Grand Theft Auto series
Everytime I finished a game another one came out..
It always been like this, Developers had 2 years to dish out stuff for Xbox 360 and learn it's components. Of course Xbox 360 is going to be everyone favorite now.
But don't count Sony out...they've always pulled the rabbit out the hat. By December of 2008, Ps3 will conquer all once more.
People forgot that Xbox 360 had a FULL YEAR but the Ps3 is still right behind them. A full year so of course Xbox 360 games will be better, of course there is more people online, and of course people will discredit the Ps3.
Sony has never failed when it comes to games. When the Playstation came out (Sony's first system), it blew Nintendo and Dreamcast sales out the water. It took Xbox 2 systems to catch up and get it right and they still haven't.
The Xbox 360 have a 5% failure rate.. That is 1 out of 20. If condoms had a %5 failure rate, the U.S. population would surpass China.
People say Xbox 360 has a mix array of games but their best games top 3 is a First Person Shooter..Thats not a mix array people..
If you're going buy the system on the base of games.. pick up a GameInformer magazine from a Supermarket or game store and just see what games you like. Good luck.
