Is there a law that says that history teachers have to teach us certain things and not just biased material? I'm from the US and my history teacher does not and refuses to teach us anything but US History and our State history. Is that illegal? (I'm from Washington.)

What grade are you in?

That is pretty much the standard curriculum for a middle or high school level history class.

Hey kid,

I live in Washington too!

Well in Washington state it's a requirement to have a year of American history. You cannot graduate without it.

I had to take a year of American history. You'll also have to take CWP (current world problems) and world history. You'll get to it soon.

The school district usually sets the curriculum. You can ask your parents to bring this up at a board meeting and see what is going on. But it's not a law violation.

The NEA will make sure that our history is rewritten time and time again.

Anything to make the US look bad is welcomed by the NEA.

Nope, there is nothing that says they have to teach you anything in particular.
