You can't compare greats, there were and are great at their own lyrical message. Jay-z talks about business while Nas talks prophetically. Tupac and Biggie both verbalized the street life, Pac paid more attention to inner struggles and battles while Biggie focused on the dreams people have while living in the physical circumstances of the projects. So many people ask this question, and most of the answers are provided by people who didn't listen to or understand any of the artist. Who's the greatest? Rakim, because he was before Biggie and Tupac and is still around. Rakim caused millions to think about and listen to and understand every little nuance about street dreams and society.
