it started out as 1x3-4x (the 3 is an exponent)
and i know you can take x out of both of those so i did this
1x3/x - 4x/x
and then i got to re write whats left with the x on the outside of the parenthesis.
x(????)

thats as far as i got :P help please!

x(x^2-4)
x(x-2)(x+2)

1x^3-4x
= x ( x^2 - 4 )
= x ( x^2 - 2^2 )
Now use the formula A^2 - B^2 = ( A + B ) ( A - B )
=> x [ ( x + 2 ) ( x - 2 ) ]
=> x ( x - 2 ) ( x + 2 ) ............ Answer

Answer: x (x+2)(x-2)

To check it out just multiply it.
