I'm a little confused. Is this where your computer has an Intel processor, with an Intel Video Card, and an Intel wireless card?

Thanks; I'm looking for a new computer....

There is no such thing as "Centrino Duo". Though I can see why some people are very confused.

There's Centrino, which is a "platform", basically a family of Intel chips used to make power-saving laptops and notebooks. A corresponding thing on the desktop is called VIIV.

Then there's the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo. Core is the processor family name, and "Duo" means it's a dual-core.

EDIT: Further information -- I was right, blame Intel for confusing people. THERE ARE Intel labels that says "Centrino Duo" and whatever. (see Wikipedia entry) however, I was correct in that there is no such thing as "Centrino Duo". Those labels are for laptops and notebooks that have both Centrino platform AND Core Duo (or Core 2 Duo) CPU.

Please keep in mind that even Intel calls "Centrino Duo" a "processor technology". The actual processor is still Core 2 Duo.

It is basically one of the newer processors specifically designed for laptops. It is not very powerful in terms of speed, but its an excellent alternative to regular centrino. it is outstanding for multimedia basics and internet surfing. but don't expect much in gaming. And yes it is the centrino duo. Some people need to keep up to date through Microsoft.

I'm guessing its a trademark name for a dual core processor.
