There was a question then if any team can beat the 1971-1972 Lakers winning record of 69 wins and 13 losses. It stood out for 24 years imagine that! before the Bulls shattered it for good.

What I'm pointing is that anything is possible... Maybe not in this decade but maybe in the next. Everything is bound to change.

Hope this helps.

It will likely not happen again for a long time. I would really like to see the Knicks do it. I can't help it. I am a New Yorker, and a lifelong Knick fan. As for the Bulls 72-10 record, you have to give some of the credit to the NBA, and the refs because the NBA doesn't want to ruin Jordan's legacy. So, you can thank the Bulls, Jordan, the NBA, and the refs for the Bulls 72-10 record.

not in this salary cap era. besides, only foolish coaches would try. a good enough team could stumble into it though. but if the aim is to beat that record, it would be foolish coz you're basically draining your team's energy to beat a record that wouldn't matter if you don't win the championship.

even that bulls team paid for it in games they shouldn't have lost in the playoffs.

Anything is possible and playing in the Eastern conference they have a way better shot than the Spurs!

Hopefully that is their focus instead of a title. You know that was the demise of the Mavs last season, regular season glory that gets you nowhere.

To the people answering "it's possible"... duh. That's why the question is being asked... haha. =)

But do I think it will happen? I really dont think so. Just dont see any team being that good. I dont have any solid evidence to prove that its unlikely anyone ever will, but just a strong feeling. Boston looks good this year... Dallas was pretty close last year... but overall, it probably wont happen. 72-10 is just such a great record.

Probably, I mean, the world isn't going to end in a year.

There are still generations and generations of basketball to play. So expect anything to happen and anything to be broken.
