social security isn't a tax.....why do i still have to pay for this, this isn't a democracy if i don't have the choice to put money in it or not to

It's an enforced insurance scheme. SS has been found to be constitution by the Supreme Court. Don't ask me how, but it has. All you can do is unwillingly participate, then take the benefits when you get older.

Social security is horrible for the country. The government is borrowing tons of money from it and there seems to be no end in sight as long as the war goes on. we also borrow 2.5 bil$ a day from china to finance the war. We need this and many other issues to stop. Vote Ron Paul. A presidential hopefull with the brilliant idea of upholding the constitution. Check him out. He also plans to eliminate the irs and many taxes.

You're wrong... Social Security *is* a tax... look at your pay check for the FICA *tax*... that's it. You are correct in that we don't live under a democracy... it's called a Republic.

Social security is a legislation of general application. Thus, all must pay for it no matter how insignificant if might be for a person.

You misunderstand "Democracy".

Majority rules, you lose.

Too bad you don't live in a Representative Republic, (like the USA usta be), then you'd have rights.
