how many hunterxhunter volumes are there in japan, is it finished? is it still going? just tell me the most recent one in japan if it isnt finished. thanx

It's finished (60 something episodes I think) with an OVA called "Greed Island" or something like that.
It's decent. Towards the end a lot of stuff just kind of starts happening quickly and it seems a little cheesy but it's still a moderately enjoyable anime.
EDIT
Actually it appears it is still ongoing which is news to me. I have the DVDs of it and it comes to an ending in the DVDs. I'm not sure if that's the true end or if they're releasing more in the future.
