I'd save the little kid I could meet. Why? Because I like spending time with little kids.

In spite of all things being equal,there is always a slender extra thread in one of such cases.I would gather details and be case specific about whom to save.It doesn't really matter whether I am going to meet the kid or not.A life is more valuable than my meeting a kid or otherwise.
