on the 8th it will be 2 years since my oldest daughter was murdered now today we get a call from California and my husbands grand daughter(my step grandchild) was shot and killed last night at the age of 14. it is a sad sad world and the violence seems to be taking them younger and younger

When I was younger and mom and dad and brother were alive .We would always visit Nina and Joe .Nina was dad 's favorite cousin and they had a beautiful home and everything was so great for them.Nina was the big sister I never had. I remember Daddy crying one night and Mom was holding daddy in her arms and I was so scared and I remember Mom saying omg kara our Nina is gone.Nina had been stabbed and left to die and Joe was hurt and had passed out . Well it seemed that someone broke in to there home.As the days went on we found that Joe had killed Nina and left her to die he hurt himself to make it look like an intruder broke in..Dad had told years later Nina was in an abusive relationship and wanted out and Joe Killed Her he is doing life with out parole kara

I am so sorry to hear this. I had a cousin I did not really know was murdered down in FL when I was around 20. He was trying to protect a woman from another man and he was stabbed and his throat cut from ear to ear. Then the woman that he was trying to protect helped his killer wrap him up and draged him down to his car and was putting him in the trunk when the police got there. I had a cousin that we would hunt with every Thanksgiving when I was a small boy that was killed under suspicious circumstances. The talk in the family at the time was they believed he was killed and made to look like a accident.
It is so tragic when so many of our young people today take life so frivolously.

I am sorry to hear the sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I believe things happen for a reason (but not knowing what the reason is..is the hardest thing).
I am fortunate..that I haven't lost anyone due to violence.

My aunt Melodie was murdered about 19 years ago and I still to this day cannot believe it and I still miss her very much.
