Ok, I'm in a bit of a predicament and I need your guy's help! Here is the situation:
I want to get an Xbox 360 for Christmas, and my parents are willing to spend that much money on me, and no more. The Xbox I want is the pro edition which comes with two games. Now, I also want Guitar Hero 3, but I can't get that AND an Xbox 360 pro, I'd go out of my budget! What I can do is ask for the Xbox 360 Core edition and also ask for Guitar Hero 3. That way I get the Xbox 360, and the game I want. Now, I see that the core system does not come with much except the actual Xbox and a controller. The Pro on the other hand, comes with a ton of stuff that I know that I will eventually get in the near future. So I don't know what to do. I can either get the more expensive system and get all the things I need, and some games I don't really want, or I can get the system that comes will little, and get the game that I do want. Please help me guys!!!

Get the pro, I recommend it. If you get the core and then guitar hero, how are you going to save your work, or if you want to download songs from the marketplace, how are you going to do that if you don't have any memory. Trust me, go with the Pro. You can always ask someone else to get you GHIII

The only difference between the Core package and the Pro (aka Premium) is that the latter has a 20gb hard drive and a wireless (rather than wired) controller included. You will need a hard drive and connection to the internet for backward compatibility with Xbox games. The Halo Edition is a different (green and gold) colour but also has a guaranteed HDMI port (which is just being introduced in the Pro version now). It also includes an ethernet lead with a play and charge kit for the wireless controller. Otherwise functionally, it is the same as the Pro. It comes with a 20gb, not 120gb hard drive (it's the black coloured Elite that comes with 120gb and an HDMI cable but no ethernet lead).

PS3 does not have many games; most of them are not that good. Please note that more then half the people who bought a PS3 returned it because they got very bored. Xbox 360 has Halo 3, Shadowrun, Assassin's Creed, N3, Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, Gears of War, Enchanted Arms, Battlefield, Bioshock, Crackdown, Viva Piñata, and much more. Xbox 360 live may cost $50, but that's for 13 months. Overall that's less then $5 per month.

Xbox 360 you can go to the Xbox live marketplace and download movies, music, game updates, game expansions, gamerpics, pictures, arcade games trials, game demos, beta games, and much more! You can download all of that from your computer, or even to your computer! Xbox live can be free, but it has much less you can do if you don't buy the gold version.

All you have to do is slide a DVD in, and use your controller for a remote to watch them! It has improved graphics for most of the things you put in. You can slide in a CD and upload music or movies! It enhances graphics and sounds. And for music you can choose from hundreds of your own personal mesmerizing strobes! You can choose strobe ones, disco ones, glowing ones, tunneling ones, and dozens more!

Xbox 360 Pro Edition comes with Xbox Live gold edition, Xbox Live headset, 15 Gigabyte hardrive, and so many things that it should cost $200 extra! But it costs much less then that.

Xbox 360 is compatible with most original Xbox games.

Xbox 360 gets a 20/10 from the public!

Go with the PRO dude. IF you like to play video games the hard drive will come in handy. Plus the wireless controller. I have 2 pros and one elite and I could never see my self playing with out a hard drive.

Now if you dont plan on going online in the near feature than a core will be fine. Also GH3 will be dropping in price soon.
