Friday night i was at a lock in a i got my thumb smashed in the door. It was in the part of the door by the hinges. My thumb is now swollen and purple, black, and blue. I can barely feel it and when i touch it it tingles.
I need your help what could have i done to my thumb?

It could be one of two things, it is either broken or you caused a crush injury, both are painful and will take a while to heal. Make sure you are applying ice 20 min on and 40 min off, do not go over 20 min at a time on or you get the reverse effect.

You need to see a dr. if not broken, but mashed, it can be bad, for it may swell so bad. amd get ugly. My daughter yrs ago had that problem and the dr had her soak it 5 times a day. the swelling wa triple the size, so see a dr asap, good luck.

I think you broke the bone in your thumb. You need to go to an ER or doctor to get an xray and have it checked out. The numbness you describe is also worrisome, like a nerve injury. Please go get it checked.
