I hate to see a Great Party ignoring the Workers and pandering to the Work-shy and the un-productive "intellectuals".
At one time it was a proud boast to be a "Blue Collar Worker" But NOW the people who actually work, and pay taxes, and want the best for their children are treated with contempt.
While the best wages are given to a bunch of Politically Correct nonentities who can "Talk the Talk" !
Or the Workers Taxes are squandered on whingeing and whining "Minorities" and "Victims"

Hey,Spirit Dancer.
I think they, (and Republicans) should be following Lincoln's idea:
"Government of the People
By the People
For the People"
I don't think that you will ever find a better definition of Democracy!
Lincoln meant THE PEOPLE. Not what was good for a FEW!
He meant the "Common Man", who used to be so celebrated, and admired,
in American History and in American Conciousness.
I'm certain that he didn't mean:
"Some self-appointed intellectual elite"
Or:
"Some self-referential Minorities"

Of course one should have respect for Minorities.
But NOT to the exclusion of The Majority.

Hi cdjack
You got it right there.
On the fall of Communism they went in to the Closet and came out as PCers and "liberals" and infiltrated the Democrats.

Running the country? Absolutely, and thanks for your support.

BTW, when Bush League speaks to his "base", the "Haves" and the "Have Mores", is he doing so with "Blue Collar Workers" worries and problems in mind? Or does he even THINK about those who have to work for a living?

Raising the minimum wage was only for minorities?

Do you realize that there are more white people on welfare than minorities, for the simple fact that there are more whites in the US?

I have a very good income and I work very hard and to me the democrats are the only party that does care about the working class.

I was doing so well before Bush and now I have less in my bank account than I have ever had.

With gas prices up, all prices of every thing has gone up to cover over head.

Don't even get me started on how much more insurance I am paying?

Also, why not look at the pie chart inside your tax booklet and see where your tax dollars are REALLY going instead of listening to TALK RADIO personalities who are just trying to make $$$$?

The war, SSN, are large chucks and welfare is a small sliver.

I think it's high-time the entire population of politicians, of the US of A, returned to what they should be doing; working for the betterment of the people of the US of A, whose votes helped to put them in office, instead of working for the lobbist, who line their pockets with money, in order to undermine the basic principles of democracy.

Evidently you have not checked out all of the Democratic candidates. There are some who are in total agreement with you & don't do any of the things you find so disagreeable. Take a closer look before you vote, please.

Once the democratic party too the position of Pro Death, it doomed them. I call it pro death as the opposite of pro life is pro death, a child is not a choice that can be disposed of by others at will.
