On hot days, when I try to fill my car's LPG tank, none will go in. Is there a way of overcoming this problem (other than simply waiting until it is cooler)?

I assume the reason this happens is that the gas already in the tank, being hotter than usual, exerts a higher pressure against the gas in the pump. Is that correct?

Hi Chauncy,

Yes it is temperature related. Best to fill up at a site with an aboveground tank - undergrounds are cooler. Also fill up early in the morning before your vehicle tank gets hot. Don't park car on road as it heats up vehicle tank. If desperate put a bag of ice on you vehicle tank. Vitalgas seems to run higher pressures so try them if they are available?

Safe motoring...
