I just can't figure out why so many people are focused on cigarette smoke while they motor around pumping toxins into the air.
Is second hand smoke a moot issue in the big picture of health issues?
Just wondering, thanks.

FYI - I went fourteen years without a car, and it wasn't bad at all.

cigarette smoke will kill you over a period of time, maybe. I seen some die sooner, some later, some not at all.
A cars exhaust will kill you in a hour or so, I have seen a few.
So, don't smoke and run your car and you will be fine.

Methinks you ought to try the garage full of cigarette smoke first, if you live then you'll know the car exhaust is worst. If you tried the exhaust first you wouldn't live long enough to try the smoke. Keep the door open would be best!

The thing is you don't typically breathe car exhaust at close range in a poorly ventilated area. If you do, it's most likely because of your own actions, not from smoke imposed on you by others.

Inhaling concentrated radon would also be bad for you if you piped it into an airtight garage, but when does that happen..

I always said I never would, but I got a little drunk one night and it didn't seem like a bad idea. Well, it was because I got addicted immediately! I love cigarettes so much now, but they don't treat me so well. I just ruined a date with a great guy because I needed a smoke. He found it unattractive to see and smell me smoking. His smile went away when I took out my cigarettes.
