Why is it that when a woman is raped, she has to die? It doesn't make any sense! Shouldn't it be the rapist that gets killed? I just don't see why women are treated like that.

Apparently, in countries where "honor killings" are permitted (or overlooked), a woman can be killed for other reasons, as well. I've heard of instances where women have been killed just because it was rumored (though not proven) that she may have had an affair. In countries that allow this, women could be killed for almost any reason, as long as the family justifies it by saying she did something that shamed the family (whether it's true or not.) It's horrifying that such things go on in this world. It's outrageous. I wish I knew a way we could stop it from happening! I don't think the US should be consider being allies with a country that allows these inhumane practices. (To say the least.)

Those tend to occur in societies where virginity is highly prized and since those women are no longer virgins after being raped, they are pretty much worthless. Very few men want to marry someone who is not a virgin. That's also a reason there have been so many female suicide bombers. It's a way for them to go out in a blaze of glory. They have lost their husbands and since they are not virgins, they have little or no chance for finding another man who will support them.

I am beginning to think that questions like this are purposely put on here to drive my BA percentage down.

I mean, how many times can I answer the same question?

The broads deserve it. now go away./
