Can i overclock Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2.13GHz ?

if yes whta is the higest i can get to with out water cooling ? and wht is the fastest core2 duo CPu that i can get on ASUS p5w dh mortherbroad

every chip is different ... some wont overclock hardly at all ... others will go a long way so u kindof need to get lucky ... i dont follow intels too closely but some models or lots are known to be a good bet so u need to look into it at a place like an overclocking forum .. and air cooling should be sufficient if its set up ryt ..

with that on air if it clocks good, i would not go higher than 2.7-...ive seen alot that high.....if it even gets there and is stable........after that air cooling wont work and you would probably have to switch to water..........all cpus are different though, ya just gotta do it, and see what happens...........go slow and stress it out often to make sure its stable, then crank a little more into it....etc etc ......good luck
