Whenever I have an orgasm, I almost always pass out and remain unconscious for a few seconds to several hours. Also, whenever I regain consciousness, I have a HUGE headache, like a hangover. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

You're not breathing enough and are passing out from lack of oxygen. Don't hold your breath, don't gasp. Thtat would only account for the duration of 'seconds', however.

Considering you also said 'hours' you should get an annual physical and ask the doctor, you might be borderline with seizures. They'll need to check your heart rhythm and a few other things. I'd be concerned about it.

One cause is hyperventilation. During sex, and particularly before and during orgasm, breath shortens and becomes more rapid. This can cause hyperventilation, and fainting. But his doesn't last hours, as you described.

The flow of blood to the genitals means less to the brain, which also causes fainting. But this doesn't occur for hours, as you described.

I think it may be an underlying health condition, possibly and abnormal heart beat. This won't allow enough blood to reach the brain. Do you ever pass out during sports or other labor intensive activities?

Try laying down flat when you orgasm, to make sure blood reaches your head, and control your breathing to prevent hyperventilation. If you STILL pass out after trying these, it is time to see a doctor.

Catholics are Christians, and Catholicism is pretty much the poster child for sexual guilt. You know how you can put the spirit back in control of the flesh? Have a good rub, get it out of your system, stop agonizing and basting in misplaced shame and guilt. I believe it is both unnatural and unhealthy to suppress normal sexual urges day in and day out. Masturbation harms no one. If it's how you spend all your free time, then that's a SYMPTOM of some emotional dysfunction, not a CAUSE of spiritual corruption. But once or twice a day, to get it out of the way, so you can focus on your partner, your career, your family, your friends? That's just good neurological hygeine. God doesn't care if you rub one out. God cares if you're being a good partner to your boyfriend, a good parent to your kids, a good son or daughter, a good neighbor, an honest worker. If it's easier to do all that, having discharged your normal sexual tensions, then I just don't understand how that's sinful. But hey, don't take my word for it - pray on it. If God's plan for you doesn't include regular sexual release then He will certainly inspire you to some solution. I don't know about porn. Are some performers unfairly exploited? Maybe, but there's a lot of Wal-mart employees who also feel they're unfairly exploited too. If porn makes it easier to rub the nub to climax, I mean, if it's a long frustrating overworked effort without that visual stimulation, and reading naughty novels doesn't do it for you, then maybe try a vibrator? I count myself a Christian - a liberal Christian to be sure, but I don't think I'm even all that radically liberal, just practical. If sexual tension causes you to stumble and holds you back, then get it out of the way in whatever way works for you, without guilt. If masturbation is something you retreat into to the point that you're not dealing with life, then seek counseling to resolve the emotional problems underlying that escapist mentality. Good luck and God bless!

The answer is in the article below, however yours seems to be rather extreme. You might want to seek medical advice.

That usually happens because when you orgasm you brain shuts down.
