So me and my coworkers were all bored because it was dead at work and we got to discussing same sex marriages and what we thought about them. Most of us were ok with the idea but a few weren't and I was just wondering what people from other parts around the world thought about them and also what are your thoughts on same sex couples adopting children or having a surrogate have their child? Canadian here: I agree with it. I don't believe that the experience of family or marriage should be reserved to heterosexuals only. Love is love. The desire to have children is genuine to everyone, so I believe everyone should have the same and equal opportunity to build their lives the way they want to. Great Q.

I can't say that I am at all fussed by it. If both my Ex and I were to die, and my children ended up being adopted y a same sex couple, that would not worry me either.

oh im jee, you done put me on my soap box, and when that happens, i don't shut up! here we go...
gays are people too. they deserve to be happy and live a normal life as much as anybody else! people that hate them or think it's gross really get on my nerves! and yes, same sex marriage should be legal! and es, they have every right to adopt and have surrogate children.

I honestly dont mind and think its great if they adopt a child! there are so many great children out there looking for a loving family, I'm sure they wont mind if the parents are same sexed.

i feel like people should do what ever makes them happy as long as they are not hurting others. if 2 guys make great dads together then right on, if its 2 women then what ever works for them. just because that's not how i roll i doesn't mean that its bad. and people should just accept it and get over it.
