Are you trustworthy? Do you go over your minutes?

If you are trustworthy and do the right thing most of the time and don't usually go over your minutes, use that as an argument.

Also, find out if your provider offers unlimited texting. Most do.
If they do, tell your parents how much it is and how you can't go over the limit because there isn't any.

Try negotiating:

When negotiating, you should first offer your parents conditions. These could include:

* Paying for the texting portion yourself
* Improving your grades.
* Doing extra chores.
* Quitting something that aggravates your parents.
* Any other incentive that would make your parents happy.

Good luck.

I would just pay the texting part of the bill, for every carrier unlimited texts cost $14.99 for 1 line or unlimited text for your whole family for $19.99 is doesnt cost that much. Tell her you will do chores to pay off the cost, or just get a job and just pay her $20 bucks for the texting bill.

tell them that if, one day, unfortunately, you got kidnapped, and you had your cell hidden. you wouldn't be able to call your parents, because the kidnapper would hear. but you could text them, or text someone else. :D i mean, it's worth a shot.
or if you have verizon, tell them about the plan where you pay only 10 dollars a month and you have UNLIMITED texting, picture texting, and video texting. it's a very good deal, i have it.

good luck [:

Why did she say no? Contrary to what kids think, parents do not enjoy saying "no." There had to be a reason.

How responsible have you been in the past? Is it possible she doesn't trust you?

Is it also possible she cannot afford it?

Talk to her about it, keeping in mind that she is under NO obligation to change her mind.

Tell her that is it's cheaper to get an unlimited plan then for you to pay for each message separately.

If you want to pay for all the messages you will type back and forth between your classmates go ahead and try.
