This is called home link.Your owners manual covers how to program this system.Or please stop by your local Chevy dealerships service dept and they will program this for you.Please take you garage door remote with you for programming.Best of luck with your tahoe.

Good answer Hyperg. If there's not a dealership close by, you can do it yourself. Press the outside 2 buttons in the vehicle, hold them until the little light flashes rapidly; this clears any codes. Then, hold the remote opener immediately under the vehicle opener, press the activator, and any of the 3 vehicle buttons; hold them until the little light flashes rapidly, which will take 30 seconds to about a minute. That's it!

yes, do what F C says to do, but then 90% of the time, you will need to code the truck to the operator, by hitting the learn code button on the operator 1 time then pushing the button that you want to code into the operator, 1 or possibly 2 times, depending on the brand of operator you have,, then that should do it
