As I sad before, Kevin 07 is just a mixture of his speech writers and spin doctors work. He is not a statesman as John Howard was. Kevin Rudd will isolate Australia from the influential traditional allies. He belongs to a union rally or to a popularity show at a school, not to the world stage.

John did good for the economy, it is going to go to hell because of greed not because of a PM. The PM is just a filter and a Liberal filter is stronger than a Rudd one. Kevin Rudd is a great big wuss, he has jumped on the politically correct bandwagon and just says what ever the latest political fashions are, economical realist, "sorry", no war in Iraq, global warming. How about real problems that effect a greater percentage of everyday Australians. Saying "sorry achieved nothing and cost millions of dollars, 2020 achieved nothing and cost billions of dollars. He is just someone different to John Howard and that's why people voted him in. He is a weak leader and I would not be surprised if we got invaded because of him, I think he would say something along the lines of "there is plenty of room for everyone, we can't discriminate against these people just because they are different to us, lets have a national sorry day for the invading forces". Kevin Rudd is a weak, useless, fairy, pathetic excuse for a man. He does not deserve to run such a great country. The world is laughing at us.

Forget about the world stage, there will be a major recession in Australia in the next 3 years and Rudd will get the blame. This will cause Labor to will spend another 11 years in opposition as voters will blame Labor for the downturn.
Have you ever heard of a poisoned chalice? because Kevin Rudd just got handed one.
Kevin Rudd was a massive failure in his only experience in government as head pen pusher with the Queensland state government in the early 1990's. At the time he was involved in a scandal involving destroying documents in a criminal investigation. Senior retired judges are calling for an judicial inquiry into this affair, which will definitely involve the new prime minister.
Kevin Rudd also closed around 1200 hospital beds and sacked staff on the spot, earning himself the nickname DR DEATH.
He was also involved in stopping a critical dam being built in South East Queensland which has lead to the current water crisis and the Queensland government having to spend $9 billion to shore up Brisbane's water supply.
Kevin Rudd was a spectacular failure in the Queensland Government and I can't see his time as prime minister being any different.

This has to be some kind of joke. This guy was "voted" in by a majority of the Australian public. Which can't be said about the incumbent had Howard won again.
Then you have these other hardline Liberals posting garbage about Prime Minister elect Kevin Rudd. How do you go from "head pen pusher" to being responsible for health and water crisis, was he the Premier?
He will cope fine. Same can't be said for the Liberal Party. It's going to be fun seeing them slowly dissolve into the same abyss the democrats have.

As I said before, John Howard was just a mixture of his speech writers and spin doctors work. He is not a statesman as Kevin Rudd is ..John Howard isolated Australia from the influential traditional allies. & aligned himself & Australia with GW Bush [ the worst president in America history ]. He belongs to a neo-fascist rally or to a popularity show at a school, not to the world stage.

I think so... he has foreign affairs experience.
The following is a look at Labor Party leader Kevin Rudd:
-- Rudd has been the Federal Member for Griffith since 1998. In 2001 he joined Federal Labor's Shadow Cabinet and on December 4, 2006, Rudd defeated Kim Beazley to become leader of the Australian Labor Party and Leader of the Opposition.
-- Rudd was born on September 21, 1957 near Brisbane, Queensland. As a student, he studied Chinese language and history at the Australian National University, before working at the Australian Embassies in both Stockholm and Beijing.
-- In 1988 he left the Department of Foreign Affairs to work as Chief of Staff to the then Queensland State Opposition Leader, Wayne Goss. He also worked as a China Consultant with KPMG before becoming Member for Griffith.
-- Rudd is a committed Christian who has talked extensively about his hard childhood, including the early death of his farming father in a car accident. He says his childhood experiences helped shape his political outlook.
-- He is said to be highly intelligent, though somewhat mechanical in personality. BBC News Sydney correspondent Nick Bryant described him as "austere, cerebral and self-disciplined, who is easy to respect but harder to like."
-- On policy matters, he has pledged to withdraw Australian troops from Iraq and sign the Kyoto pact. He has also promised health and education reform, as well as tackling Howard's contentious laws on industrial relations.

Why on earth not?
*He's an experienced foreign diplomat,
* He is hugely respected in China (his election campaign and win was front page news there) which will be so helpful for our important Asian trade and climate issues relations,
* He is highly articulate and intelligent
* He is not known for ever being racially offensive or discriminatory for political gain
* He has already shown he means business when it comes to negotiating with foreign countries (he ratified Kyoto today!!!)
* He should get along very well with the new US government when the Republicans get voted out next year
* Politicians around the world who do not agree with Bush will appreciate that they are not dealing with Bush's Australian puppet!
I am so relieved of embarrassment that we are finally being represented abroad by someone like Rudd instead of Howard and Co. Who can forget Howard and Alexander Downer causing outrage in Malaysia's government when they said they'd never rule out a pre-emptive strike in Asia (like in Iraq)?! Yikes - it's time to heal our reputation.
Don't worry - just let him do his job and wait and see :)
