Superior conjunction would occur when the Moon was on the opposite side of the Sun as viewed from Earth.

Superior conjunction can occur with other planets being behind the Sun as viewed from Earth but cannot occur with the Moon.

Perhaps you mean inferior conjunction where the Moon would be located between the Sun and Earth. In this situation there would be a new moon and the Moon would rise with the Sun.
