Greetings all and Merry Christmas! My church has what we call the "Giving Tree" where local families who are in need can put Christmas wants and needs on the tree...as parishoners, we are able to take a tag off the tree, buy the gift and bring it back to church so it can be delivered.
I chose the name of a 12 year old girl who wants a Game Boy game. Any ideas? We don't have anyone that age in my family and I'm at a loss for types of games she might play.

Can you be a little more specific?
I'd need to know what kind of game boy it is.
There is:
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Nintendo DS (some people call this a game boy)
The only ones you'll find in stores will be Game Boy Advance & Nintendo DS games.
Your best bet may be going to GameStop or EB Games and asking one of the workers for a recommendation. Look for a game that is rated E (for Everyone) or E10+ (Everyone 10 and up).

For a 12 year old try games like Nintendogs, Brain Age 1 or 2, High School Musical Making the Grade or just about anything Super Mario (New Super Mario Bros is a tonne of fun!)
If you are lucky you might even be able to still pick up the new Nintendogs bundle that Nintendo just released late last week that comes with a limited edition gameboy bundled with a new nintendogs game - you'll save yourself a few bucks ($10-$30) buying a bundle as well.

I am 12 myself and i LOVE Horses, dogs cats.... etc. and i don't know anyone who does not like animals- so i suggest looking for games such as Dogz, Catz, Horsez, PetVet and such like that. gameboy advance games are about 20 and up! look for GAME BOY ADVANCE games- even if she has a DS, game boy advance work on those also- you can't really go wrong! Good Luck! There are MANY MANY MANY pet/ animal games out there!

if she has a computer i would suggest a webkinz. i have one and i'm 12. (my cousins even have a few and there 18 & 21.)
