As sad as this sounds, I only have $2, and 7 people to get Christmas presents for. My mom, dad, my oldest sister (24) a style freak, my older brother (17) cowboy, my little sister (13) style music drama girl, my little brother (9) robot/dragon freak, and my best friend (15) music lover. (She needs to know how much I appreciate her too!) Any home made Christmas gift Ideas?

I feel your pain, suggest to the family to draw names and only buy a gift for one person.

I like to take pictures that I have already developed and frame it and offer it as a gift.

If you like to cook, make cookies or pies for your friends and family.

This will cost you very little, and if you have a note pad and pen already, you will still have your $2 left as well. !!! bonus eh !!

Home made gifts come from the heart, l think they are the best gifts of all. Regardless of what others say.

OK, here we go... write a little letter to each person, tell them why they are special to you, get a poem book from the library and copy a poem, maybe you could find a scary dragon story for your youngest brother in the library and copy some of it out for him, tell your mom and dad what they mean to you and how much you love them.

Home made gifts do not need to cost much, some times words can mean a thousand times more than any gift that costs loads of $$$$, because they come from your heart.

Hope l helped just a little, believe me this idea may not sound much, but you will surprised at their reactions to your letters.

As you have access to a computer, you do not even have to go to the library, there are lots of lovely sites to visit for poems and stories etc.

Hmm, $2 is very tiny for all those gift needs! I would suggest making "gift coupons" which you give to people you care about. They are basically coupons you make yourself (use your computer and draw them up and print them out). You can write things like, "Will do laundry for a week when presented." (Your mom would probably like that one.) Or for your dad, "Coupon: will wash your car." Or "Will help my siblings for an entire day." You just tailor the homemade coupons to each person and what their needs are. Just don't write anything you think you can't follow-through on. I honestly think most people don't even cash these type of coupons in, except maybe your parents (as I think most people forget). You could put a clause on the bottom of the coupon saying, "Redeemable a week after Christmas. Coupon cannot be used on Sundays either." That way they can't make you work during Christmas week or on Sunday (which you should leave to your relax day only).
For your 9 year old brother, I'd recommend going to the dollar store and getting a small toy. Maybe a Batman action figure or matchbox car set. I know they have $1 toys there. I wouldn't recommend anything violent, as boys tend to get worse with their violent play if encouraged. I only recommend a toy for the youngest because Christmas is really for kids in my opinion (at least in the gift-giving part) and he won't appreciate a homemade coupon like the older ones will.

And last but not least, another good idea which I'm sure you can raid your home food cabinet for, is to bake some treats for everyone (like your best friend and older siblings). Make some homemade fudge (really easy and doesn't take too many ingredients). Make some brownies or cookies and decorate them with your own design. Everyone usually loves food gifts.

And coming from a Catholic friend list, this time of year people send cards that say they are being remembered in prayer or in a Mass said for them. You can sign up friends and family for prayers to be said for them at some monastic websites. I think marian.org (Divine Mercy Shrine) will do this for you and they ask for a donation but you don't have to give one. Same at the Association of the Miraculous Medal which I just discovered recently. Their link is:
http://www.amm.org/petitions/christmasnovena.asp

Then after you make the prayer request, you just make your own Christmas cards and type it in yourself that prayers are being said for them. Some people really appreciate them.

I hope this helps :)

the best things in life are not things and they don't cost any money.

make up some coupons on your computer. one for each person you plan to give a gift to.

you can promise each person something nice that you will do for them after the holidays.

for example: tell your mom you'll cook a meal and do the cleaning up.

tell your dad you'll take out the trash for a week.

tell your sisters and brothers you'll clean their room.

these are just simple things, but i'm sure if you use your imagination you'll be able to think of things your family will really appreciate.

homemade cards would also be a nice touch. maybe you can write a poem.

good luck.

$2!! damn, and i thought i was broke..

don't listen to that first girl! Homemade gifts are the BEST! And they mean more too... what you need to do is find out what you know about each person.. and use it to make them something meaningful. Pictures are good... one of the best gifts I've ever recieved was a framed set of pictures of me and my best friend from when we were kids. Home made cards is good.. or burn a cd for someone.. take a plain tshirt and paint it up cute.. but try to make the gift as personal as you can...

Don't believe the first person. homemade gifts come from the heart and there is a saying that is oh so true, "It's the thought that counts" I don't know what you can make on $2 outside of some cards but they will love whatever you make. Good Luck.

You could make something handknit, or make a cake for them to enjoy on Christmas! Let's see how about collecting some nonused items in the house and combine them with a hot glue gun or so to tranform it into something unique for your family and friends :]

You can make them each a scrapbook with pictures and little knick knacks from your times together. Collect all the pictures you can of you and [insert person here] and make a scrapbook in a box. You dont even need to spend that much money on materials and decoration. Here's some sites to help you:
