There are 5 machina repair manuals. Here's how to get them:

1. Speak to the man in the room with all the pedestals on the 2nd floor of Djose Temple. When he asks for the password, enter MARNELA. He will give you a manual.

2. Speak to the man seated on the floor in the north chamber of Djose Temple. He'll give you a manual.

3. There are 3 monkeys jumping up and down in the area behind the reception building outside of Djose Temple. When all 3 monkeys jump at the exact same time, press the X button to receive a manual.

4. At the north end of Mi'ihen Highroad, near the entrance to Mushroom Rock Road, there is a machina standing between Prophet and some empty wagons. Examine the machina to receive a manual.

5. In the secret dungeon at the Calm Lands, there is a chest that contains a manual at the opposite end of the dungeon from the starting point.
