I don't know why people are so up in arms about Mit being of Mormon faith. When is the last time a group of radical Mormons committed an act of terror? Obama won't reveal his middle name and refuses to place his hand over his heart in significance of his loyalty to America. Hillary and her husband allowed 27 terrorist attacks on US soil during his 8 years... Mormon or not, he is a very good guy and has proven his ability to lead with no cooperation (a Republican Governor in Communist Massachusetts). I would rather him than Rudy - a guy who left his wife amidst her battle with cancer. I am a registered independent, and I stand by the fact that I will vote for the best candidate - I can assure you it will not be anyone I've seen on the Dem side.

I think Alex G is right once again.

Since when does running for president have anything to do with Religion? If this is the sole topic of his discussion, nothing he can have to say will convince anyone that he is more qualified for the job than if he had just not bothered to speak at all.

Conversely, religion is a touchy subject, especially considering the fact he is a follower of one that many folks consider to be outlandish. If any effect on his campaign results from this speech, it will probably be negative.

In cases like this, silence is golden. Unless what he has to say will help his election (and this won't), he is better off tabling his speech until after November 08

Well, since he backs the war in Iraq, he could tell us that, at least, a couple of his sons are serving as medics in Iraq! Nothing against the Mormon religion in doing that, others have chosen to do that to serve their country but not carry a gun. Of course, that puts them in harms way, so maybe Dad doesn't want to have them there in any capacity. If so, he should not be willing to send other people's children to serve.

It amazes me this is a serious elections coming up and we really need to know about all of the candidates, not what fluffy questions they get asked. now I could say something like did Ted ever offer him a ride and did he freak or it elected can I have five brides if I know they don't mind, but i am not gong to say htat. lthe fact that he did do a bunch for them northerners, in Kenndyland makes me wonder what has he got up his sleeve. Also Rudy not telling the whole true about the illegal undocumented aliens. Take care.

I grew up on a Mormon ranch, the people wouldn't talk to us or even let there kids play with us because we weren't Mormon, there is not even a slight chance that I would vote for him. That is a bad religion, weird, and against God, I just found it something that The book of mormon is placed above the Bible....That says ALOT!

Absolutely nothing.

As a practicing Mormon, there is nothing he could tell me that I didn't already know.

As a practicing Democrat, there is nothing he could say to change my mind about him.

Not one thing. Mitt Romney is a questionable man. I don't like him.

What ever he would say, I would have to counter with the fact that the State that has the largest capita of Mormons is in fact the most DEPRESSED State.

He doesn't have to say anything . . . This is a Republican who worked with a largely Democratic state Congress and actually balanced the budget. He also cleared the state deficit and helped legislate mandatory health insurance . . . What more do you need?

Nope...and he should probably cancel the speech. Nothing but bad will come out of it.
