They will eat anything, but if they are babies, then the smaller the food, the better. Newborn ghost shrimp will eat the microorganisms that are present in all established tanks. After about a week, they will need liquid fry food that you would feed to baby fish, and also a diet of baby brine shrimp. As they grow to adults, they will compete for the food that you feed your fish.

Ghost shrimp will eat any edible organic material in your tank, including some of the fish waste, (Don't argue, i watched mine do it, lol.) I have 3 ghost shrimp along with my other fish and they eat anything that drops to the bottom, i have also seen them swimming up through the water to grab both floating and falling flakes.

i would expect you could. I haven't had any personal experience with shrimp unless sea monkeys are type of shrimp. They will be able to eat flake food but have it crushed kind of fine.

I feed mine brine shrimp eggs. You can get these at any pet store. Wal-Mart too. If you do feed them fish food, crush it until it is a fine powder. But don't put too much in.
