Preteens are far too young and immature to be engaging in ANY kind of sex. The emotional ramifications alone are too much, let alone the possible physical consequences (STD's, etc).

Well if its not OK for normal preteens why would it/ or should it be different for lesbian preteens or for that matter gay preteens . Sex is sex no matter witch way one looks at it. They the fact is the age, and how the law looks at that. Preteens have sex all the time, and if know one knows about it , its not in peoples minds.
I remember in my last school ( Boarding) it was not un-common to find, preteens having sex in the woods , boys on boys, boys on girls, girls on girls and so on.
There is no really YES or NO to this. Some kids are very clued up on it all, and understand what they are doing. Some don't. Some mom's and dad's would say, I wont them to have the experiences. Otheres would forbid the topic being even raised.
I had sex when I was a preteen (gay sex) but I did not know what I was doing .Its shaped me in a small way, and its part of me. But if it had not happened then, it would not have bothered me as, I would simply would not know what I missed so to speak.

It is quite noticeable nowadays that youngsters are sexually matured earlier than former generations but that is alas not true emotionally. In fact sex (Gay or Homosexual) is a natural activity that occurs by itself when a youngster is ready for. I don't think that sex in preteens (lesbian or homo or hetero) should be encouraged in anyway, but it should not be a drama either if it occurs. Let the nature follows its course and be prepared to give advice and comfort if necessary. The first sexual experience is something important in a human being life and it should be something nice to remember. It is also generally the corporal expression of our first love (or at least it was for me). Parents should be prepared for any eventuality, in a way to act in the appropriate fashion and not create a trauma in children that explores the possibilities of their bodies, but again in my opinion, sex in pre-teens should not be encouraged.

there is no set age to be ready for sex, preteens sex should not be thought as OK or not OK but rather "uncommon" in that age group. but to answer your question i, personally, believe if they KNOW what they are doing there is no reason to prohibit preteen lesbian sex.

Personally, I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should be having sex. Most people under the age of 25 aren't emotionally prepared for a physical relationship, much less children who are still in the middle of puberty!
But that's the my opinion.
Opinions are like butt-holes, everyone's got one and they all stink.
