Hi i was just wondering how do you establish internet and telephone communication on the moon if there was a permanent settlment there

Transmission of EM waves, like we do it here on earth. There would probably have to be a directional transmitter here on earth or in earth orbit, to send signals to the moon, so that they would be stronger and clearer.

Exactly the same as on Earth, presumably. Ethernet cables and routers. Telephone cables and switches. Directional radio antenna to establish a connection to earth.

Satellites would NOT work, as there is no stable orbit around the Moon.
