how to create a assosication in the set assosociations control panel? In windows vista?

I can't seem to open any of the short cuts on my desktop

I'm trying to add web pages like yahoo answers to my desktop. I clicked on file and send to desktop.

may help. It looks blank, but scroll down a bit. My guess is you want to associate "htm" and "html" files with Internet Exporer.
