Ok, are you ready for this one? The purpose of life is to be happy. To do everything you possibly can to enjoy life. Life is a gift and we have to find the joy in it. Now, I know that it's "not as simple as it sounds" but at the same time it is. I also know that that last sentence didn't make sense and that is because you can't explain Life with words; that is because our language is dualistic. (look that up if you don't know what that means) So, to understand what I just said you must understand who you are. What it means to be a human being on planet Earth. Do you know what you are at the very core of your existence? If you don't, you must find out. There is tons and tons of information out there and THAT is part of the purpose of any Human Life. You may find out that you are a lot more important than you think. ;)

P.S.
To that guy that said there was no point on asking that question: the point was for me to find it and write my answer that would raise curiosity in everyone who reads this about their own potential power.

To think that life has a purpose is to pre-suppose that there is someone or something setting out the goals.

Life has no purpose except to live. However - we can create one out of who we are and whee we have come from. It is to fit our personallity

I believe I did not come to this world just like that. I believe there is a supreme being somewhere, who created me. I believe he created me for a purpose - to make this world better than I found it. How can I do that? Worship God, Be good to those who cross your path, be compassionate to animals, maintain a good environment, and most importantly, don't be a liar.

Reading sources like the Bible and Quran, and also contemporaries who've wrestled with the problem of meaning, is an excellent way to converse on the notion.

Would suggest "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet;
"Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton;
"Man, Master of His Destiny," O. M. Aivanhov;
"Gandhi, the Man: The Story of His Transformation," Eknath Easwaran, Ph.D. http://www.easwaran.org
"Autobiography of a Yogi," Yogananda, http://www.yogananda-srf.org
"The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, http://www.divinecosmos.com
"Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, Ph.D.;
"Psychoenergetic Science," Dr. Tiller, http://www.tiller.org
"When Invisible Children Sing," Dr. Huang;
"Life before Life," Jim Tucker, M.D.,
"The True Story of the Bilderbergs," Daniel Estullin;
"Hope of the Wicked," Ted Flynn;
"University of Destruction," David Wheaton,
as starters. As Christ Jesus stated, the kingdom is within. These authors help awaken self to one's higher feelings, thoughts, and interests, including prayer and Self-realization.
