I thought it was a stage act until I went up on stage with about 15 or so people.
The hypnotist had us hold up our hands like we were holding glasses, even though we didn't hold anything (though I was aware of that).
He suggested that we held invisible glasses and that he was going to pour "funny juice" (his words) into it; it would make us laugh at anything that anybody said.
So he pantomimed pouring liquid into our 'invisible glass' and when we acted like we were drinking, he brought a kid on stage. Almost everybody was roaring at the fact that he was only saying his name and simple little things like that.

It wasn't like I saw a glass, pitcher or any actual liquid, it was the fact that I couldn't stop laughing.
Sounds silly but it was pretty fun.

On a side note, you have to be suggestible enough to be put under, which means not being nervous about it. If you're able to get to that point in the first place, you'll only go as far under and do what you're only willing to do.
I don't mean brainwashing or the self-help tapes, I mean simple stage hypnotism.

yes a few times, it's very relaxing but I'd swear nothing really happened most of the time, apart from the time went fast. it helps if you want to change the way the mind thinks about stuf (I had a fear of flying and now it's gone through hypnosis). Now I just have a fear of crap, cheap airline food! Only do it if someones been recommended though.

It was the same as when I worked on Mennigers' biofeed machines--from alpha wave to theta. I would never work with anyone who then put in "suggestions"---We MUST make up our own minds as to our "input"!!!
