I have a dell dimension 2400 with the stock graphic card (64 mb) and i want a better one so what kind of card do you suggest?

Tough luck. Your PC uses the i845GV chipset that does not support a graphics expansion slot. Your option is just a slow PCI card (different from fasr PCIe).

But do not expect awesome improvement from PCI cards because the PCI BUS is inherently SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration.

first you need to see what slots you have, either pci, VGA, or pci-express. pci is the oldest and pci-e is the newest.

other then that you need to research the pipeline of any giving video card, also look at the on board ram, as you indicated your integrated card only has 64MB. today you can buy up to i think 768 cards but they are really expensive, and really not needed yet. i would go with one that is at least 256.

also most of the next gen games are going to need Direct-x 10 for compatibility, so make sure your new card is compatible with that.
