I've caught his show from time to time, and am convinced that the only people on earth who would agree to be on are complete idiots and losers. How could Springer exploit people's weirdness like that? He himself even insults them sometimes, and they don't even realize they've just been insulted.

I completely agree with you. I can't stand to watch even a second of that show. I also don't get why anyone would want to be on the show either.

Springer's defense for that is that the guests he has on his show are people who have a story to tell, just like the people on other "normal" shows, and his show is their outlet.
It's not very entertaining... hard to watch because these people DO get made fun constantly & there is no help offered or given.
I think they just want the free trip to Chicago.

It's sad, but it really makes my day better. Just when I get into a funk and think that things can't get any worse...I turn on an episode of Jerry Springer and I realize that it CAN get worse. I could be one of those brainless people who exploit their lack of intelligence on a mediocre show.

Hubby and I watch it everynow and then and just crack up laughing at the antics that go on.
Am from Australia, and wow... have seen a few drongos in my time(lol, maybe in mirror too, but that's another story;) ) but those people on JS truly take the cake.

Springer focuses on people's flaws. In my opinion, it makes the average person feel better about themselves.

I do because of the fact i like to work out what all can caus e a relatoinship to flow undesirable. i do no longer decide to finally finally end up going on the instruct to confirm that my husband or boyfriend is cheating on me b/c I aint treating him ideal or I ain't solid sufficient. i decide to work out the place those human beings went incorrect so i will a minimum of attempt to stay away from a number of that stuff drom going on to me.

The show can be stupid at times, but I love to watch people make a fool of themselves, just another form of entertainment to me.

Like you I've seen the show in passing....it is the 2nd most awful show on TV.
