water. Regular tylenol. Caffeine free teas. Regular nasal saline solution.
I dont care what anyone on the planet says, doctor or not, cold medicine is bad for healthy unpregnant people, and its horrible for those who are pregnant.
If you wouldnt give it to a newborn, dont take it while pregnant.

There isn't a whole lot you can take although my doctor told me i could take robitussin(i would check with YOUR doctor first) but here is some over the counter things you can do.
You can drink tea, put some honey in it, because that should help with your throat, you can also gargle with salt water or mouth wash (if it doesnt have alcohol in it, try crest pro health) You can use a steamer, for the stuffy head, but take with tylonol(sorry about my spelling) so it helps with the pain as well. Also if you have a stuffy nose, this is something that works great, go buy some dentyne ice artic chill gum. it has to be artic chill though or else it wont work. don't ask why it works it just does. also try putting warm compresses on your temples that should help with the stuffy head. good luck and i hope you feel better.

MY doctor said I could take anything with Tylenol in the name- I just finished taking some type of tylenol cold medicine. Regular Tylenol will help the sore throat and I was told I could take chloroseptic and robitussing also. I stress this is what MY doctor told ME because it may not be okay for YOU. Call and just ask what you can take, you will not have to go in or anything... they will just tell you. My doctor gives out a list of drugs you can take the first time you go in. I wish all doctors would do that!!!

Well, some women are very against any medicine during pregnancy. My doctor has given me a list of medicines that I can take though, I'm surprised that yours didn't.
Colds: Chlor-trimeton, contac, Sinutabs, Tylenol, Sudafed, Actafed
Cough: PLAIN robitussin, Benylin (plain or DM)
Sore throat: Chloraseptic spray, throat lozenges
He said check the throat lozenge packages for alcohol though, some rare ones have it in there
Lots of decaff tea with honey too, it helps me!

No medicine is 100% safe, but gargle salt water or mouth wash to help with the sore throat. Humidifiers are wonderful for getting rid of stuffiness. Drink plenty of fluids too, but not too much dairy cause it just makes snot thicker. Vicks vapour rub works well too for stuffines.

I'm sorry honey. I had the same when i was 26 weeks pregnant, and the only thing i could take was panadol, and it was hell.
The only thing i'd suggest is going down to your chemist, and let them know you're pregnant, but have the flu and ask them what they've got.
Chemists are different, and some stock cold and flu medication that don't have ibuprofin in it.
