answer the telephone with the TV remote? I just did and felt so foolish even though there was no one else here to see it. I'm wondering if that might be an indication of some old-timer's disease. Must be careful to keep this from my children or they might begin planning my special Sunday Afternoon Drive.

I do things like that all the time. Thank goodness you weren't ironing!

No, not yet. What happened to you was just an "accident". It was some kind of a reflex, grabbing the first thing that was near you or, maybe you were already holding the remote and without thinking, placed it on your ear thinking it was the telephone. Were you watching the telly at that time? Oh well, it's not Alzheimer's for certain.

If you mean, you answered the remote, thinking it was the phone, you could be excused for that, because phones are made in all shapes and sizes.

If you mean, your phone rang and you answered your remote, then you are in the correct forum!

You shouldn't be concerned about feeling foolish, though, until you get the notion that the remote would be a good way to call the kids!

I am exceptional at misplacing things.

I have Lost my ATM card 6 times because I forget to wait!

I purposefully, place things, so that I won't forget where they are, and then forget, that place!

Go Figure!

No, but I have tried to change the channel on the TV with the telephone.

I certainly hope it isn't an old-timer's disease, because I won't be 40 for a few more months!

And don't worry, my mom, who is 76, does things like that all the time. She and I laugh like loons because she does goofy things, and because I am starting to do the same things she did when she was my age, like lose her reading glasses and search the house frantically while the glasses are parked on top of her head.

Most of all, don't worry about your kids. I promise not to tell them ;)

I've done that too. Also, when I was working I had an adding machine as well as a telephone on my desk and I can't tell you how many times that I would try dialing the telephone which
turned out to be the adding machine. I could only laugh at myself.

I once sat down to eat a bowl of cold cereal. Then poured milk into the sugar bowl - oops, wrong bowl. But wait a minute, I was only fifteen years old at the time. My Dad couldn't figure out what the 'H E double-ell' I was doing, and neither could I.

That, and worse...
My last job was a high stress job, a million things happening at the same time.... my co-worker was so worked up one day, that when she picked up the phone to make a call, she punched the numbers into the calculator, getting furious at the phone , since she couldn't get a connection....

No, but I tried to change the channels with the phone! That doesn't work either, lol!

My daughter says she has a room in the attic for me! That came from someone in our town who actually did lock his old mother in the attic for years, never let her out except to go to the bathroom, until someone found out about it, then it became front page news!

Haven't done that, but every time I watch Law and Order and there's a scene in the precinct, I think my phone is ringing.

That Sunday drive of yours sounds ominous!

I have done that. My sister lives on a ranch and drives a little golf-cart back and forth to the barn. We were all going somewhere....she's running late and finally got ready and instead of getting in her car she got into the golf cart!!! Did she ever get embarrassed!!

don't worry about it. Put my cell phone in the fridge one time. Couldn't figure out why the boys hadn't called. Just got in a hurry. It's OK. I think you need a hug. ummmmmmmmmm
lots of love to you
