I just went outside, 11pm, and its a bit breezy not what I would call a gale. Anyone Hampshire/Dorset/Devon way to tell me it could get worse?

Like some northerners I live in a shoebox and am worried about it getting blown away.

I have visions now of Father Christmas working away for the festivities in a disused quarry....south of Britain. Its all a bit surreal.

I'm in Bristol and its been chucking it down all day, strong winds, my hair got completely ruined - picked the wrong day to do some xmas shopping! I looked like medusa when I finally got blown home! My neighbours shed roof was blown off, and a few bins in the street were making their own way around the street in the wind (bit like a bunch of daleks!).

Its currently drizzling, but not windy at all now, dont know where its gone, but just very glad its not here anymore!

I'm in East Sussex on the coast. It's past midnight and very windy still but it was worse this morning. I did see one huge branch on the road, think it was a beech and they're not the best in stormy weather.
I hope it doesn't get worse. I'm sailing out tomorrow night to France!

The gloom and doom forecasts for a 'Great Storm' that was supposed to hit last night or this morning haven't happened here. It's very windy but nothing like storm or hurricanse strength, as forecast. Perhaps it will get worse, I don't know.

I'm in Maidstone and it was very windy this morning - they were predicting gusts of up to 60-65mph, but it calmed down by mid afternoon - we even ventured out to the shops!
