i don't know what time it is where you are, but i find it takes about 45 min - 1 hr to get drowsy. but i don't know how much benadryl you took... if it wasn't a regular adult dose, it won't make you drowsy.

It shouldn't take more than about 30 minutes. But Benadryl does not affect everyone the same way; you may not get drowsy at all.

If you were going to get drowsy, 3:30-4:00 would be about the right time.

You might NOT get drowsy from it. Sorry, but like me, the "PM" pain meds do not make me sleepy. EVER. They don't make me anxious either, some bodies do have that reaction. If you need something to help make you drowsy, and sleepy, try the warm milk thing. Or else some relaxing herb tea, etc.

It should make you drowsey in 1/2 hr. if its going to happen. I know some people who it has no effect on.
