Yes it gets cold, and yes it snows, but some people just turn into complete jerks and lose the friendliness they had during the summer!

Because it's cold and they're trying to get where they are going. Some people get cabin fever or seasonal depression, the lack of sunlight gets them down.

This seems strange to me; friendlisness usually INCREASES during winter months. (Think of it: when are the most babies born? 9 Months after a blizzard!)
Practically, people SHOULD BE LESS SOCIAL during winter months; it would save many lives, as disease would not be spread around as much!
