I could us some help solving this problem.

-6^2+(-4)^2+(-6)^2

First you take the parenthesis and multiply those and then multiply th others (or you could do them at the same time).


So -6 to the 2nd power=36
if you have a odd number of negatives, the answer is negative, if you have even, it's positive.

-4 to the 2nd power=16
-6 to the 2nd power =36

So 36+16+36 equals what?
The answer is 88

-6^2 = -36
(-4)^2 = +16
(-6)^2 = +36

-36+16+36=
-20+36=
16

When a negative number is in parentheses and squared the negative is multiplied twice, and negative times negative is positive. When it's not in parentheses you square the number and keep the negative.
