There's more to being a level 7 than just being a level 7. After you reach certain milestones, they start sending you gifts, upgrades and special accessories for your avatar, memerships to certain exclusive clubs, discounts at multiple stores, and they open up a private 3D arena for Level 7 answerers to take their avatars to. We can have tournaments, chat (yes, chat), and do pretty much anything you can do in Second Life. Mostly we just chat about how superior we are to anybody who is not a level 7.

Yahoo! I believe just deletes random accounts so that there will only be so many people on level 7. Also there are thousands of people who join everyday, so there will always be a bunch of people in the lower levels.
Personally I don't understand the reason for the upper levels. Because when you reach level 5, your questions and answers become unlimited. Also, level 6 and 7 have the same limits on everything. http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system;_ylt=AqX31IW6FMMiGAt1QLXqCRA_zKIX;_ylv=3
So to answer your question, it wouldn't make any sense to make anymore levels. Unless voting and staring questions becomes unlimited or something.

I think I just made it to level 2 without being deleted for the first time in a year. Level 7 is just a fond, past memory for me! No way we'll all make it to 7 again, EVER.

With violation notices and suspensions it was hard enough to get to level 5. I'm not even going to think of 7

I agree. But it would make sense for them to come up with more levels. It'll give people something to strive for.

You're optimistic. The violation trolls kill most accounts well before they hit level 7.

Doesn't matter. If I could cash in these points I would have a long time ago.
