i started my period yesterday and it was really heavy and today is was light today

Are you a woman or child?
If you are a child you periods will be up and down for a while. my daughters periods are everywhere. Sometimes they are very very heavy and within a few days they are light. Mind you, she is under the doctor for hers as they get way to heavy and cause her an unbelievable amount of pain.
If you don't have a female in your family to talk to about periods, what about a teacher at school, or make an appointment at your gp's and talk to a female doctor.

This sometimes happens, it shouldn't be of concern. However, if you bleed heavily at every period then it might be as well to have a chat with your GP. You can help matters by making sure your iron intake is good, heavy bleeding can make you anaemic and tired. There are lots of foods that contain iron just consult any reliable book on nutrition.

The first period is always weird. It's never going to be like any other one you'll ever have. Keep track of these types of things in a journal or something, so then you know what to expect next month. But all in all just "go with the flow!!!"

Periods are like that sometimes. Don't worry. Mine are sometimes so heavy i get weak then the next day it's normal. Your body is just clearing out unwanted stuff.

The first day of a period is usually the heaviest then it gets lighter - nothing to worry about - all is fine.
