I am re-asking this because no one just answered this question; I do not have a hard top and am not that worried about it "damaging the paint"...my question was should I take the antenna off, will it be ok if I don't? (The car washes I use are no brushes-safer)

If you have a power antenna, you want to have it lowered before you go through a car wash. If you have an expandable non power antenna that you can manually lower, you should lower it so that it is less likely to be bent!

A factory type solid antenna does not need to be removed! It is very hard to bend them!! I believe that your Jeep has the solid antenna so there is no reason to remove it!

With a brushless car wash there is even less to worry about, you have higher pressure water hitting you in a rainstorm at 60 MPH on the highway!!

If there is anything that it could catch on or cause it to possibly break, by all means remove it.
