In the US it it illegal to kick a child that you have custody of out of the house. I know, my mother was arrested when I was 15, because she kicked me out and wouldn't allow me to return home. The paretns have still have full financial responsibility to the child as well as the basic food, clothing, and shelter. So unless the parent plans to buy the kid their own house, they are fully responsible until the child is 18.

Lil one is right unless you are still in school. If you are 18 and still in high school they are still responsible for you. If you are under 18 in a lot of places it is illegal to put a minor out of the house. It is where I live in Ohio.

Since the child is no longer living under their roof they do not have any financial obligation anymore. That is just my opinion.

until they are 18 - you have all the responsibilities to provide all of the necessities to your child!
so you can kick them out of your house but you still have to pay for them to live somewhere else.
also if they are 18 and still in school - you still have responsibility, as far as i know.
good luck!

You are responsible for your child until he or she is 18 or the child is emancipated. After that- none.
