I AM American. I'm not saying everybody that lives here is shallow. I'm just saying that in general, a lot of Americans tend to be compared to other countries.

that was an extremely shallow questions. just like any other group of people there are shallow americans, but then again there are shallow brits and shallow austrailans and shallow africans. living in a certain place doesnt make you a certain way. there are all types of people everywhere.

How are Americans shallow? You didn't even bother explaining. You seem to be the shallow one judging people simply by where they live instead of on qualities of an individual. If you want to insult someone please at least be able to back up your claim.

Americans are perhaps the most down to earth people on Earth. You would never know who a millionaire is over here yet, I have been to foreign countries where people are highly discriminated against due to their class structure.
