just wondering -- have any of you ever been involved in any or a family member and what is/was your experience? OR have you ever been raised or involved in a polygamist relationship/family and what was/is your experience? It's just very different for me to understand....help me figure this out and tell your stories. WHAT IS LIFE LIKE IN THESE SITUATIONS?

Not exactly, but my best friend growing up in PA married a Mormon & moved to Utah, where the last I heard, she had 10 kids! She was a straight-A student. The daughter of a respected surgeon & had a bright future. He wasn't part of the faction that had multiple wives, but I still think I was a waste.

I'm watching something about cults too. To my knowledge I haven't had a relative or a friend grow up in that. However you could argue that Fundmental/Evangelical Christianity is a large cult.
