Read Holy books and scriptures, as well as, theology and spiritual-themed works (not only accepted religious texts, because many scholars believe the Bible is incomplete) to attempt to "find" who God is, and why has He been worshiped and loved for thousands of years. Look inside yourself, do good in all phases of your life, give people a chance, and try to love and accept yourself and others. Be humble. Be open-minded
Knowledge=enlightenment=peace
Your entire body is composed of remnants of stars and cosmic gases, the life that moves the universe is literally in you. You are the universe. You cannot truly be any closer to Him. You already know the answer.

Let me understand the question.
1. What you mean by "turn" is "to transform"? into a God?
2. What you mean by "turn" is to give up your current life to become a disciple of God?
How do we live? Hmmmm.
Dont know the answer if the turn meaning was number one.
WIth the second meaning, I would guess a bit differently since you would have found this new purpose for your life.

Maybe sepraate Greed from organised belief in God. If there are to conflicting beliefs one based on wealth the other on God then the one based on wealth could be placed in a separate Church for those who believe in Greed instead of God. If people believe in God in truth then stay in God Church. Honesty as to which all needed. Separation Of Church and State Religious and ReligiousFreedom Laws cover this. How to actually turn is difficult given distance between.If a person does not believe in God no turning necessary.

The quintessential factor in this is to develop faith. Towards that end let me borrow from an earlier answer I postulated.
The theories that abound to describe and detail the emergence of all matter and energy have yet to propose the source of existence. That being a given, and I with my limited fund of knowledge and experience with which to postulate a plausible theory, is as much proof as I believe necessary to remove any doubt as to the existence of God the creator. That being said, I believe through prayer and utilizing the free will He saw fit to grant me to explore multiple avenues of thought on the subject, the natural order of things providing an explanation for the remainder of all things through evolution is the most necessary component to illicit true faith in our Lord. If the only explanation for all things that we perceive were faith, then it would not be faith at all but proof. Only by providing us with the ability to rationally demonstrate the methods by which things may come to be is there true faith that, despite the likelihood that these truth's are supported by science, the truth lies in God.
Once faith is truly established, one realizes simultaneously that there is no other way to live but to "turn to God". All things that you do, from perception to existence, are through God, and no thing is possible without Him.
God Bless you all in your search for truth.

Regard the last two lines as a joke and consider that you are a God to characters in a virtual reality--a kind of video game if you will. When you play the game, it is possible to manipulate characters and affect their environment. You live in this circumstance.

"Draw night to Me and I will draw nigh to you" is the Word of God in the Bible.
A prayer, such as "God, make me a better person" permits God to act more closely, more "nighly," in one's consciousness, being, and world. When given sincerely on a daily basis, one makes more progress, as measured e.g. during a year's cycle.
God draws those who elect to respond--who elect to ask God to draw nigh by being amenable to divine Will, which is always Good--to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
For contemporary insight and help, "The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis, "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, "Men in White Apparel," Colton, "Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, Ph.D., are all worthwhile. 1-800-232-6459 http://www.family.org and 1-800-525-LOVE http://www.klove.com are two free, licensed Christian counseling services giving general answer to you question.
