Hi, i'm 27 weeks pregnant almost 28 and my baby hasn't really been moving the past few days, is this normal. I'm freaking out here, i'v tried drinking a coke to "wake" her up but it didn't work. Please offer some advice, no rude remarks please!

The only one on call this weekend (there is 2 obgyn's and a midwife at this doctors office) is the stupid midwife and she doesn't know anything.

Thats what my doctor told me to drink last time (drink coke) because of the caffeine, also she said it was safe to consume up to three glasses of coke or coffee a day.

Try drinking really cold orange juice and laying on your side. You should be able to feel her move. I freaked out about the same time that you are freaking out now and my girlfriend gave me that advice. It worked for me and whenever I get a little worried, I search for the oj or I eat an orange and sure enough she moves. Spicy food and garlic do the same thing to my little one....hope this helps, it works for me and I'm almost 35 weeks.

call your doctor, usually when you are closer to give birth like 38 to 40 weeks the baby will move less but 27 is still early. sometimes in a day u might not feel any movement that is normal but if it a day or 2 pass and nothing then i would be worried too. i hope its nothing, good luck.

Keep in mind that she is growing everyday and that means less and less room for her to move around. She could also just be sleeping a lot more than usual!!! It won't hurt to call your doctor and ask him about it though. Rather be safe than sorry!!

Good Luck!!!

i used to always eat something very sweet when i was worried like you, lay down on my back slightly propped up on the couch and wait, without fail the baby would get on a hyper one and start jumping about. Go to your doctors first thing in the morning if your still worried and get them to listen to the heartbeat to put your mind at ease.
Good Luck

I would start counting how often she is moving per hour, If it does not seem normal, call your dr. They may want to do an ultrasound to double check the baby is okay.

you can call your OB and let them know whats going on....that would be a good thing. but usually if the baby is still moving its ok...but maybe you might wanna get that checked.
