Flannel lined jeans are. There are TWO layers between you and the cold, and no matter how thick the fleece is, its still only one layer.

I think those are really great items. But I think you're going to go over the budget. A sweater at the least is already $20. You have 8 people not including all your friends, so maybe $15 dollars each? I'm not sure, but try to get them warm things for the winter months. And clothes are really nice. So sweaters, scarves, anything that would be comfy on a cold day. Happy Christmas.

depends on the weight of the fleece 200 weight will be warmer but the flannel will be warmer them 100 weight fleece.

Actually, I found that silk long johns work the best for me. They keep me toasty warm, don't add any bulk, and they feel great against my skin. Also, they seem to trap the air next to my skin better than lined pants do. That's just my two cents worth.
